Description: *only for pre-existing HID 2010-13 models - will NOT work on originally equipped Halogen models* Selling a pair brand new quality Xenon HID Headlight adapter conversion harness made to fit 2010-12 Ford Mustang Originally equipped with HID xenon. Converts to OEM xenon hid 2013-14 Ford Mustang headlights. Conversion harness is very easy to install and as close to plug and play as possible. Harness includes -turn function & is wired so turn bulb functions as turn only (no park light function). -the DRL will dim just like factory when parking lights (or headlights) are turned on. -*NOTE* There is no switchback cancel feature on the drl strip (to turn off drl when turn signals are flashing) If you have your own switchback you want to use, I can do my best to accommodate different connectors or wiring if need be. Strip lights can also be hardwired to function as parking lights, eliminating the need for fuse tap. *by special request*. -requires mounting ground ring terminals and running LED DRL lead wire to fuse box to a fuse tap. At this time mini sized tap is not included. ***IMPORTANT NOTES***-must be used with genuine OEM ballasts. After market replicas can look identical (some have very minor differences in the label/sticker). Non-OEM ballasts with improper internals can cause the ballast to turn on with car off, key off as soon as you plug in the headlight connector. This will backfeed power to the junction box and your headlight switch. -suggest using OEM bulbs or high quality replacements. Cheaper quality bulbs operate outside specific draw requirements of the body control module. They can cause the bcm to detect failure and shut the power off to light. Typically it takes a bit of time the first instance but every time you power on the lights after that the bcm shuts them down in a shorter period of time Harness is made with OE quality connectors terminals and seals. Wire used is mil-spec tefzel wire, common in aviation & motorsports, which is made of tinned copper strands. This allows for better corrosion resistance, excellent conductivity & makes repairing/soldering much easier. The wire has a Teflon like insulation that is extremely durable compared to standard automotive grade wire. Loom choices are Raychem DR-25 milspec heatshrink or Tesa (black fabric) harness tape .
