Author Biography NOHA ALSHUGAIRI, M.S., is a licensed marriage and family therapist in private practice in Newport Beach, CA. She frequently facilitates trainings and workshops on a variety of topics for mental health professionals and the community at large. Her strong foundation in Islamic sciences guides her work in helping families integrate faith and culture. She received her B.A. in Zoology from Rutgers University in 1986, and her M.S. in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton, in 2007. Since becoming certified as a Positive Discipline Trainer in 2008, she has conducted numerous trainings for parents and teachers. She has been married for 32 years, and has four adult children and one grandson. MUNIRA LEKOVIC EZZELDINE, M.S., is a professional college and career counselor. She loves helping young adults gain self-awareness to prepare for higher education and beyond. She has written extensively for various Muslim publications and websites on issues of parenting, family, and marriage. She is the author of Before the Wedding: Questions for Muslims to Ask Before Getting Married. She holds a B.S. in Economics from UCLA and M.S. in Counseling from California State University, Fullerton. In addition to being a certified College Counselor she has certifications as a Premarital Counselor and as a Positive Discipline Educator.
