It appears this parade drum was built from a recycled Ludwig 70’s tom tom shell. The shell has reinforcement rings and a textured interior coating which I believe Ludwig refers to as “granitone”. The brass lugs were drilled a bit to close to the drum edge which necessitates adding an extra drum ring if you want a tight batter head. (See photos.)
