This vintage carved ancestral figure is a stunning piece of art from the Sepik River Tribes of Papua Guinea headhunters. The intricate wood statue was carved from a single piece of wood, and is wearing a Grass Skirt, with decorations and vibrant design. The figure is 19 1/2" tall and is adorned with bracelets and ear decorations made of colored string. The nose is pierced, and decorated with knotted strings. It is an original piece from the Pacific Islands & Oceania culture This piece is perfect for any ethnographic or antique collector looking for a unique and original piece.
