Description: PAIR of vintage design and contemporary production (dated 2004) of the classic Emeco 1006 Navy Barstool originally designed in the 1940s. This is a lightweight military quality stool originally made for US Navy. Recycled aluminum construction with an anodized brushed finished and stainless steel foot glides (sans plastic caps). Still in production and available for around $900/each brand new at high end retailers like Design Within Reach (DWR). These are genuine Emeco barstools from the Navy Collection...not knockoffs or copies. Integrates well with mid century modern (MCM), Danish modern, art deco, tanker, industrial, and steampunk styles. Incised mark into the back frame and dated on the underside.Each measures 43"h x 18"w x 21-1/4"d. Seat height is 30". These are NOT counter height stools.Condition is GOOD. Used condition showing normal wear from age, previous exterior use, and storage. Structurally sound. No loose welds or bends to the frame. Solid, lightweight, and strong. All stainless steel feet glides are in place. Cosmetically, there are surface scratches, scuff marks, light dark staining in certain areas, a few very minor corner dings, some light pitting to the aluminum, and minor rust residue near a few of the steel foot glides.
