Group 1-864 There is a 2" scratch on the front cover, from the green pain container on the table, to the edge of the brown triangular block below the word "OCTOBER" -- plus a faint 5/8" scratch at the front cover, just to the right of the second "A" in "IMAGINATION" -- plus the front cover shows minor sticker residue at the top right corner, plus a 1/4" corner ding at the top left corner, with a much lesser ding at the lower left corner, plus fingerprints -- the rear cover shows minor corner dings at both top & lower right corners, plus fingerprints -- otherwise light wear & chipping to edges & corners, with light scratches, indentations & rub-wear -- overall condition Very Good to Fine or better! In 1957, I was not quite 10 years old; and my mother was quite averse to exposing me to the "evils" of the science fiction and horror comics of the period. Keep in mind -- this was only a few years after the "SEDUCTION OF THE INNOCENT" exposures of comic books by Fred Wertham; and the Congressional investigation of E. C. COMICS & publisher BILL GAINES; plus the homogenized and pasteurized COMICS CODE AUTHORITY attempting to control the content in comic book publishing; and Mom was petrified that her pride and joy (ME) would become brain-washed and scatter-minded due to science fiction and horror comics. Oh, well -- nice try, Mom. I have raved about these PSArtbooks reprints in the past; and I'll continue raving -- these are some of the BEST reprint editions that I've ever encountered; and Volume 2 of OUT OF THIS WORLD is no exception. This volume contains complete reprint pages from issues 7 (February 1957) through 10 (October 1958), and includes stories and artwork by ROCCO "ROCKY" MASTROSERIO; CHARLES NICHOLAS ; VINCE ALASCIA ; STEVE DITKO ; JON D'AGOSTINO ; BILL MOLNO ; SAL TRAPANI ; MAURICE WHITMAN ; FRED KIDA ; DICK MALMGREN ; PAT MASULLI ; GENE COLAN ; and PAUL REINMAN, others.
