Description: Beautiful authentic antique 19th century Victorian side chair in the Rococo style. Hand-carved walnut frame with pale Robin's egg blue damask upholstery in perfect, clean condition. The back rest of the chair is tufted and the seat is not. I've owned this chair for over 30 years and it id in beautiful condition. I believe the finish to be original. The damask pattern features a central medallion of cherubs holding aloft a vase or urn overflowing with flowers. There is a very old age crack to the back of the chair frame that has been there as long as I have owned it and it is perfectly stable and does not affect the sturdiness or stability of the chair.
