Description: Original 1918 US M1907 rifle sling – correct for any US Military rifle OR any Lee-Enfield sniper rifle Manufactured in 1918 by Graton & Knight, Worcester, Massachusetts, USA Complete with original hand-stitched keepers and brass ends. Leather is soft, supple and flexible. Good condition. Some surface cracking; none go all the way through the leather. Verdigris is a blue-green patina that is formed on brass over time. (See Statue of Liberty – that green patina is verdigris.) It does not harm the metal. Verdigris can be seen on the brass sling fittings; you can clean it off – or leave it in place, proof that this sling is as old as it says it is. This Old Soldier is a lot older than you are and deserves some respect. After 106 years of service, he’s in surprisingly good shape, and a little tired. It belongs on a classic/vintage military rifle in your collection. If you’re thinking about humping out to the range and shooting across-the-course, get yourself a modern reproduction of this classic 1907 sling. Give this Old Soldier the respect he deserves. No credit card surcharge. No reserve. US Addresses shipped USPS Flat Rate - $10. Tracking and $100 insurance included. I will post feedback after you do.
