Description: This is an ORIGINAL UNISSUED VIETNAM ERA OD FIELD PACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY STRAP. It is made of an OD canvas web material. This adapter strap fits on the M-56 suspenders. It is used to carry the field pack (butt pack) on you shoulders instead of being attached to the pistol belt. It consists of 2 long straps with an adjustable buckle and a snap hook on each strap attached to a wide canvas web material. The wide canvas piece s stamped with US and on one of the long straps it is stamped with the following identification : STRAP ASSEMBLY FIELD PACK ADAPTER, DSA-100-3162, 8465-782-2170. (Some of the printing is hard to read due to the type of print and the type of material it is printed on). The picture is a stock picture the printing may be different than the one pictured there is no green on the end of the strap. The OD Field Pack Adapter Assembly Strap is in mint condition.
