HIGHLY ELABORATE DETAILING. ORIENTAL THEME. Artisan filigree metal work… Chinese goddess… The embellished carbon steel blade has applied colorful floral & dragon imagery on one side… CAUTION: THE BLADE IS VERY SHARP !!! Traditional decorative red “silk” cord double tassel ! Has a brass set screw to make opening the sheath impossible. Has a 3”belt clip. Attached to the bottom of the sheath is a 14 inch red/ green/ gold / braided metal (removable) rope chain. These colors, in ancient traditional Chinese Lore, represent FIRE (THE POWER OF THE FORGE) - GOOD FORTUNE - & JOY. Acquired at an oriental art collector’s private sale. Further provenance is unknown.
