Description: All Our Items are For Sale, Make an Offer. Fresh picked from a Brushy Mountain estate here in Wilkes County NC. This area is known for apples & peaches, via the apple ladder in this bottle. OUTSTANDING Southern Appalachian Folk Art wood carving, from an old estate here in northwestern North Carolina. The old bottle is full of some kind of liquid & corked sealed, I assume to preserve the carving, ( it is tightly corked sealed. There is a large wooden cross with an apple ladder leaned against the cross, there is a smaller arrow & another smaller cross standing vertical on each side of the larger cross. Around the bottom is a handsaw, axe & mallet all attach to the wooden bottom base. Measures 6.5" tall by 2.5" wide. This estate was way off the beaten path. This was hand carved back when times were simpler, 1920s-30s. Very unique southern folk art item !!!
