The 1 1/4” high “tall” pickguard support brackets are used for Gibson’s large arch-top and arch-top electric guitars like the L-5, L-5C, L-5CES, Super 400 and Super 400CES, as well as any 17” or 18” wide arch-top or arch-top electric guitars. Countersunk hole for #3 screw will line up exactly with your instrument, making installation easier, holding pickguards firmly in place and at the proper height without any modifications (see dimension diagram for all measurements).You choose from either a gold- or nickel-plated finish. The “tall” foot is solid plated brass; threaded rod nuts and screw are plated steel; black thread block is hard plastic. In general, gold (which is priced higher) is used for the high-end instruments like the ES-355 and nickel for lower-priced guitars. Each pickguard support includes the short foot with 2” long threaded rod, open nut and blind hex nut, black threaded block and 1 - #3x3/8” oval-head Phillips screw.Parts are also interchangeable with existing Gibson hardware.
