It is complete and Ready to Run with a Freight Train set. The buildings are Alpine-style buildings situated on a rolling landscape with a water feature decorated in Summer colors. The Briefcase measures 19-1/8 inches x 14-1/8 inches by 4-1/4 inches. Layout is in Excellent condition. The Layout Marklin track is powered by a built-in NOCH track controller directional throttle powered by a 9v battery. This briefcase layout can also be powered by an external Train Controller/power pack (not included) plugging in to two on-board jacks to bypass the on-board controller (eg use an external controller or DCC) battery-free. NOCH recommends using train cars and locomotives less than 8,5 cm in length, because of the tight radius curves used on the layout. In addition, the locomotive should be a 4-axle or 2 truck (Bo Bo) version. Large American-style locomotives may require layout and/or coupler modification to operate on this layout. I do not accept returns if your locomotives/train cars will not run on this layout, so please ask before you purchase.
