Description: NEW YORK CITY Three very nice American Civil War Era Individual Carte de Visites of a husband, wife and of their grown daughter. They have all been identified; Mrs. Elizabeth Charles, Mr. Charles Watson and their daughter, Miss Caroline Watson, all of New York City, N.Y. Charles was born c.1811 in Massachusetts. They had A total at of 4 children. Caroline's siblings are Charles, Mary E. and Frederick. Portraits were taken by different studios. Wifes portrait was taken at Charles D Fredericks & Co. at 587 Broadway, New York. Husbands' portrait does not give us any information of photographer's studio. The daughters, Caroline was taken at FARIS 751 Broadway, New York. Elizabeth and Carolines clothing is beautiful. Elizabeth's dress material is very lovely. Her left hand is visible, and her right hand still has a leather glove on it. Carolines outfit is an accented winter coat and her hat leaning against her hands. Carolines CDV has the Revenue Stamp still attached and hand canceled.
