Description: This is a comprehensive report on the Michigan monuments dedicated in 1889 on the Gettysburg battlefield. It includes the program of dedication addresses and procedures. Interestingly, it has a section with the Letters of Regret from some of those who were invited but did not attend. There was no dust jacket published with the book and the spine was not printed on. The photographs show one small tear. There is some rippling. (To be expected in 135 yr. old book?) Most of the innermost pages are smooth. There is a bound insert in the front showing that the volume is compliments of Cyrus G. Luce, Governor of Michigan (printed) and a signature “A. L. Navarre, dated December 27th, 1890. (signed).
