Description: Marklin 54402 starter set from the former Maxi line. Labeled W. & A. R. R. (of the famous locomotive chase). Includes loco, freight car, caboose, track, analog controller/transformer pack, two engineer figures, bell to install on the loco, and various track connector pieces - complete set. New old stock - most of it (including the cars) was newer on the tracks, although locomotive appears to have been test run, using some tracks in the pack. Had the loco on my test stand, and it works like new - see YT video link below. It loco has a scratch on the drivetrain cover at the bottom (see last photo), but is otherwise mint like everything else in the set. Comes equipped with a Delta controller (currently set to address 80) but will work on a conventional layout, using the power pack included in the set. The Delta controller is the early style with the dip switches, meaning it's really easy to change the address. The box and the Styrofoam inserts are a bit rough and heavily scuffed as seen in the photos, but I patched things up where needed. Plastic cover for the loco and the cars is very good, without cracks or missing pieces. I package all my items very carefully and will take them back if they arrive damaged. Free shipping in the US.
