Description: M1961 field pack, part of the US Army M1956 equipment. Developed to replace the smaller field pack initially introduced with the M1956 equipment. Pack is in practically unused condition. No fading, tears, or missing components. All straps, clips, buckles, and eyelets are present and functional. See photos for hardware condition. Some oxidation on the strap tips and eyelets, and some finish loss on one clip. Dated 1967 (the 67 in the middle of the DSA number), with good, clear and dark markings, with factory layout marks visible. Waterproof vinyl throat in excellent pliable condition. Name card window has some scratches, but has not deteriorated.
