Description: LIONEL 53 RIO GRANDE SNOW PLOW W/ OB, SCARCE CORRECT "A" VERSION, ORIGINAL This is an original postwar era 53 Rio Grande snow plow, the unit is the very scarce correct "A" version, the vast majority of the 53s came with a backwards "A" on both side, this one has unbroken struts, has some operation wear including a couple paint flakes to a yellow handrail, light scuffs and some light stains from handling, it could be gently detailed to look a little better, has some scuffs to the bottom of the plow, the box has light shelf wear and all flaps are securely attached to the box with several small tears to the hinges but no tape repairs, a nice clean insert is also included.
