Description: PLEASE NOTE: I’m not a professional grader but have over 40 years of collecting, trading & selling comic books & other collectibles. Please read description in 3rd paragraph. Please view all photos & ask any questions you may have. Grading is not a science. The impact or the importance of flaws to a book can vary from person to person. I may feel a faint water stain on the back cover is minor where someone else feels it’s more of a major defect. What I may think is a 6.0 or 6.5 someone else may think it’s a 5.0 or 5.5. I try to note what I feel are the most notable of defects and give honest grade ranges. I’m not trying to hide anything, I just may think something is not as major as someone else. Please do not purchase if you disagree or like to debate grade ranges. Purchase professionally graded comics then. I see the poorly graded comics listed out there. Also it is not my concern how the book can possibly be improved or not improved by a pressing, cleaning or any other restoration. Thank you and sorry for the rant. (Black & White Magazine) Stories by Roy Thomas & Doug Moench, art by Gray Morrow, Dan Adkins, Dave Cockrum, Dick Giordano & Val Mayerik with cover by “industry legend” Neal Adams. Origin & 1st appearance Legion of Monsters. Origin & only appearance The Manphibian. Frankenstein by Val Mayerik. Bram Stoker’s Dracula adaptation. (#2 was advertised with Morbius & Satana, but was never published). Vintage “KEY” LEGION OF MONSTERS issue and a “MUST HAVE” for any Marvel Comics completist/collector. In my estimation the magazine ranges in (6.0) FINE to (6.5) FINE+ condition with medium cream to slightly tan pages. Very moderate wear to cover, spine, corners & edges. Slight fray at top left corner, tiny tear at bottom left corner, extremely faint wrinkle at bottom right and back cover has soiling/staining at top left. Magazine has very minor age discoloration/staining/soiling. A very sharp, bright & glossy looking copy. There are no other glaring flaws to note, that is not typical to books falling under the indicated grade ranges or visible in pictures. I am not a professional grader but grade very conservatively using The Overstreet Price Guide as reference and my 40+ years of comic book collecting/selling experience.
