Description: A WILLIAM AND MARY WALNUT AND SEAWEED MARQUETRY CABINET-ON-STAND GERRIT JENSEN, CIRCA 1690 An unique opportunity to acquire an important piece of late 17th Century English furniture that came to Rio in the mid-20th century, when Rio's high society traveled around Europe and acquired important antique pieces to decorate their beautiful houses and apartments by the sea. This magnificent cabinet on stand is in very good condition, showing only a few losses in the marquetry and small signs of age. Please ask for additional photos of these details. The photos show it better than any description I can give. The cabinet, and the stand, has not had any parts replaced, but I believe that only the key is not the original, although it works perfectly. Dimensions: 123cm W (48,42 inches) x 52,5cm D (20,66 inches) x 176cm H (69,29 inches).
