Description: This beautiful 1835 original lithograph by J.D. Harding depicts the seaside landscape of Hastings, with intricate detail and vivid color hand tinted by Charles Joseph Hullmandel. Published by Charles Tilt, Fleet Street, London, England. My limited photography skills don’t do this print justice. I tried to capture shots devoid of glare and/or shadow but that proved very difficult due to the type of reflective glass used in framing. The photos which appear lighter & brighter were shot outdoors on a sunny day. The deeper tone photos were taken indoors. You can see my shadow and the reflection of my cell phone but I included these photos to show how tinted colors really “pop” and stand out. This is a wonderful print with great expressive detail. A true gem from a bygone era. I’ll be happy to send additional photos if requested. RARE, ORIGINAL, ANTIQUE, VICTORIAN ERA, BRITISH LANDSCAPE, NAUTICAL Photos are considered part of the description and are included to show detail and condition. Items are sold “as is” and reflect normal wear and tear relative to age and use. Please ask any questions before bidding/buying. All sales are final. No returns accepted. Item will be carefully packaged. US buyers only. No international shipping. Thanks for looking. Please view my other items. I’ll be posting more vintage treasures in the coming months so check back often!
