This stone was mined further down in the early mining area of Maruoyama and is one of Maruoyama's most representative natural finishing stones. It is said that the sulfur content in Ao ( Blue ) Renge or Kuro ( Black ) Renge makes the steel to rusting, but when tested, this problem has not occurred.It is suitable for all types of steel, including knives, woodworking tools, and has a strong abrasive power that can remove scratches to an extent that they are invisible to the naked eye.
