Description: Vintage First Edition Second Printing June 1936 Gone With The Wind Hardback Book in the Original June Dust Jacket. GWTW book was written by Margaret Mitchell and was published by The Macmillan Publishing Company. The True First Edition is May 1936. This is the First Edition Year June 1936. This is the Second Printing with the Second Printing Dust Jacket.Book is complete and contains the normal 1,037 pages. Front & back board covers have some wear along the top and bottom edges and corners. The spine is complete, with cracking, tearing, chipping wear to top & bottom edge with a line going down the middle. Book pages are clean with no writing. There is a wave to the bottom of approximately the first 75 pages. Not sure why and didn't see any water damage. The book has alot of give to it and is not tight because the glue has dried and the pages have come away from the spine. This is shown in the 7th photo. However, the pages are all firmly attached to each other. The overall condition of the book is fair to good-. There is a small newspaper article which has been taped to the inside of the front cover.The Original June Dust Jacket is protected by a mylar cover, is mostly complete and has some chips and pieces missing, as shown in our photos.
