Description: George III Pewter Five Lobed Wavy Edged Plate, single reeded, 25cm, Carpenter & Hamberger, c1800, HAMILTON Crest, Ex John Douglas Collection The five labed wavy plate has a single reeded edge, the front is engraved with the Arms of Hamilton, see the Lord Belhaven and Stenton crest for comparison (Created in 1647) [1]. The front is also engraved with a dexter hand holding a seax with the motto "fideliter" - (faithfully). Provenance: Bonhams, Oxford 19 April 2021, The John Douglas Collection of Base Metal, Lot 57. Previously, purchased from Jack Casimir Ltd., Olympia, London, June 1989 by the previous owner ( John Douglas) . **Very Good Condition with good patina.
