The attention to detail...the nuances of light and shade.... the sublime balance of hues.... it's truly a work of fine art! And this wonderful floral rendering is beautifully set off by a strong border of alternating gilt enhance panels of deep cobalt blue against a ground of very pale buff/pink, also enhance with rich gilding. The same alternating design is duplicated around the bottom of the comport base. The enamels and gilding are extremely well preserved with very very little loss to gilding, which so often is typical of Old Paris porcelains. This is a REAL BEAUTY!!
