Description: DATING TO THE EARLY EDWARDIAN YEARS FASHIONED OF A PASTEL LIGHT BLUE LINEN AND IS TWO PIECE IN CONSTRUCTION HAND MADE LACE INSERTION IS IN THE FRONT AND REAR WITH SNAP CLOSURE IN THE FRONT AND BUTTONS TRIMMING THE FRONT CLOSURE THE NECKLINE IS TRIMMED IN A WHITE CHEMICAL LACE RUNNING FULLY AROUND SLEEVES HAVE A STUFFED CRESCENT IN THE SHOULDER AND ARE PUFF FULL WITH BAND CUFF AT THE BOTTOM TO BUTTON CLOSED MATCHING LACE IS INSERTED IN DARTS THROUGH THE FRONT WITH CROSSING LATTICE APPLIED DETAIL RUNNING FULLY AROUND THE BOTTOM WITH THE REAR IN A TRAIN HOOK AND EYE AND SNAPS CLOSE THE REAR CONDITION: THIS PIECE HAS BEEN FRESHLY HAND LAUNDERED AND IS CRISP CLEAN. THE WHITE LACE AROUND THE NECKLINE LOOKS ORIGINAL BUT IT WAS USED TO HIDE THE FACT THAT THERE IS ABSENT LACE ON THE REAR NECKLINE AND THE UNDERLYING LACE IS FRAYED WITH TWO LARGE ABSENT POINTS, NONE THE WISER AS IT WAS SO WELL DONE. THE RIGHT TOP SHOULDER HAS A THUMBPRINT FRAY HOLE WITH TWO PINHOLES AND HAS FABRIC BENEATH THAT HIDES. BUTTONS WERE REMOVED FROM THE CUFFS AND HOOK AND EYES WERE ADDED. GENTLE WASHED FADE IS SEEN TO THE LINEN BUT IT IS COMPLETELY EVEN THE SKIRTING HAS TWO SMALL HOLES JUST ASIDE THE CLOSURE, THEY ARE LESS THAN THE SIZE OF AN ERASER WITH A PINHEAD HOLE NEAR THE TOP. A SMALL LINE OF FRAY IS AT THE TOP VERY FOLD WHERE THE HOOK AND EYES CLOSE. ONE ERASER SIZED HOLE IS IN THE LATTICE DETAIL AND COULD USE A PATCH.
