Description: DAMAGED Le Creuset 24 cm Round Dutch Oven 4½ Quart 4.2L Blue Casserole Cocotte FRANCE Condition: Used with wear/damage. The bottom cooking surface is rough. It appears a scouring pad was used to clean the pot and ended up damaging the enamel. (I am not the original owner and do not know the history.) Interior and exterior surfaces are clean with signs of use. Cooking surface has black specks and a rough matt surface. The enamel is worn along the top circumference and bottom of the base. There is a light patina on areas of the lid and base. A rounded letter E is etched on the inside of the lid near the handle screw, and a letter P is etched on the underside of one of the handles. There are dulling wear marks around the outer edge of the lid exterior from rubbing against the base when the lid was flipped over for storage. Scratches on the exterior. Please refer to photos. From the Seller: The enamel is worn but the dish still works well and cleans up nicely. It is a great size for most cooking jobs; large enough for big recipes but still easy enough to pick up and handle. The 4.2L size is my go-to pot for both the stovetop and oven. The heavy lid helps to retain moisture, and the cast iron core retains heat. This one might not be a show piece, but it is a dependable piece of equipment that will do the job with ease. I used the dish multiple times without issue; just manage cooking temperature and use water or oil to distribute the heat and avoid scorching the food. For the most part I did not observe any effective differences between using this Dutch oven compared to my other Le Creuset cookware which was purchased new. Use and Care: Avoid contact with metal cooking utensils; wood or high heat silicone are recommended. Dishwasher safe (hand washing recommended). Stuck-on food will often come off with soaking and gentle rubbing with a soft-bristle brush or a cleaning pad designed for glass cooktops.
