The focus of this paper, therefore, lies in contrasting the respective approaches to digital democracy in France and Germany. This paper aims to critically evaluate the advancement of e-democracy in France and Germany and to observe the diverse mechanisms and approaches chosen to make e-democracy a stable and beneficial digital tool in Europe. Using a comparative case study approach based on theoretical aspects, the report successively contrasts particular elements which reveal the progress of e-democracy in each country assessed. The results are discussed and evaluated. The future of E-democracy in Europe, in particular in France and Germany, is then assessed.
