Description: This is part two of three lots comprising of the balance of the mint section of the British Commonwealth collection I am breaking down. This particular lot covers the KGVI period. The other lots cover Queen Victoria to King George V and QEII, both being sold as auctions. The contents follow the same principle of quality and condition, whereby stamps were carefully selected and there are very few faults throughout. In fact, there is a good proportion of MNH material, including the majority of the omnibus issues, but also a nice range of longer sets. I have marked out the MNH material. Please note that where there is a MNH tab at the start of a set the whole set is MNH, and where the tab is on a specific stamp it is that stamp that is MNH. The majority of stamps will comprise of complete sets and where sets are complete, they will generally be to the extent of including all, or practically all, of the listed varieties for perfs, colours, papers and any other variations. Where there are other additional stamps such as the wonderful array of Malayan States, these will be for any other additional unlisted shades, which I have found by going though the collection is where the collector identified other unlisted printings. Though there are of course no guarantees for these, the depth of the collection suggests there is no reason to argue. Therefore, all stamps are different here and will be an incredible addition to any detailed KGVI collection. I would expect that pretty much all of the omnibus sets (UPU, Victory etc) will be present aside from the Silver Wedding which were removed for separate sale. I did do a rough catalogue valuation which came in at over £18,000. This was based on sets where applicable and simple additions for the varieties. This really is a wonderful accumulation rarely seen in such detail and in such fine condition, it is not an opportunity to be missed. The collection follows the SG catalogue and so it should be easy enough to identify the order of the stamps. Please note that there may be some points where the stamps don't exactly follow - I was having to pick from various albums/leaves to collate into one collection. The images below show all stamps. Please do take the time to go through closely to appreciate how comprehensive the contents are and what is really on offer. Please see my other items. I will combine postage if possible. Any item sent internationally as anything other than standard will be sent 'registered' to cover any insurance for me if the item is lost.
