This plant will be shipped bareroot .Some seedlings won’t have roots because the leaves come out first and later the roots.The leaves(sprout) size in height is between 2 inches and 14 inches Leaves and roots might be yellow or dry when the seedling arrives to your destination.it doesn’t mean the plant is dead.New roots and leaves will grow. Please plant your tree in palm tree soil upon arrival . Coconut palms are hardy growing outdoor in USDA zones 10 and 11, and in the warmest areas of zone 9, although an unexpected freeze in this zone can kill the palm. Below are a few tips on how to grow a coconut tree indoor but they thrive the best outdoors in tropical climate ,lots of sun and high humidity. Coconut trees are tropical plants and they do not survive below 40 degrees F. it's important to give your palm as much sunlight and warmth as possible along with ample humidity . Seedlings do not grow at a fast rate when small so don’t expect to pick coconuts in a month. Depending on variety coconut trees bear fruit în approximately 5 years or more . Maintain a moist environment for your palm with the addition of an in-room humidifier, as well as frequent spritzing of the plant with warm water. You also can keep the container on a tray of pebbles and water to raise the humidity around the plant. . It should be planted in a 3 gal.container that has drainage holes with 12 inches of palm tree soil mix. Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy by saturating it with warm water once or twice a week. Make sure the container does not become waterlogged, as this can result in root rot.
