Description: The Civivi Vision FG folding knife is one of the more interesting models to come out of the Civivi line in the last few years. Built as a collaborative project between Civivi and knife designer Snecx, the knife brings in one of the newer lock mechanism available in the market. The "Superlock" uses a sliding bar design, not too different from the Shark Lock or back lock system, to hold a sliding bar-stock piece in place of the blade when deployed, creating one of the stronger lock mechanisms currently available. This design has been created with both Civivi and We Knives, along with some of the custom designs that Snecx has been involved with. The secondary advantage is that with the thumb-stud deployment, and rear mounted lock bar, the knife is completely ambidextrous for both left and right handed users. Aa an added layer of safety, it means that your fingers are never in the path of the blade while closing the knife. This model uses a combination of Nitro-V blade steel, enabling razor sharp edges on thinner blade stock while preventing chipping, and full steel frame liners through the micarta scales, making this knife incredibly rugged by design. The olive micarta scales allow for excellent grip, even in damp condition, making this one an excellent daily carry user. This knife is brand new and was purchased for photography and review.
