The Panasonic low ESR capacitors installed are designed to be used in applications such as video game consoles, high end graphics cards, gaming PC's, etc. A new CMOS battery will ensure that your PS3 will not forget the time and that you'll be able to play your digital PSN content without any issues for many more years to come. The CMOS battery's connector was also modified so that when the time comes to replace it again, you can easily replace it with any off the shelf CR2032 battery commonly found at your local retail stores. All functionality of this PS3 has been fully tested and confirmed working.
