Description: Card of 29 antique and vintage clothing buttons -- all picturing varieties of FLOWERS. The buttons were produced during various eras -- many are from the antique era of the 1800s or early 1900s. However, there are also some from the vintage era, and likely a few from the modern era, as well. These buttons were made using various materials, including: glass, porcelain (including 1 stud), plaster, wood, dyed horn, vintage plastic, fabric, brass, Lucite, and other types of metal. Some of the featured styles: DUG, enamel, lithograph, realistic, Victorian celluloid, carved, etched, inlay, stud, hand-painted, OME, Kutani, paperweight, British Bakelite, and more. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact sizes of the buttons. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The porcelain stud on the right side has some paint wear -- especially the gold leaf paint that decorates the outer border. A few of the buttons may have light surface wear, edge dings, or tarnishing -- but I have noticed no cracks, breaks, dents, or other more serious flaws. The group is overall in very nice shape and they will display quite well. See attached photos for more detail on the condition. ***************************************** PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT an expert on vintage buttons. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York. She is downsizing, so I am helping her sell some of her collection. But I am not familiar with all the terminology and intricacies of button collecting. I try to use various notes she left with the buttons to describe them to the best of my ability, but understand that any terms I use in describing these items, are not terms I am familiar or experienced with. I am also not knowledgeable on the hobby criteria in condition grading -- so I use my condition grades in a commonsense manner -- as if grading any collectible -- they are not based on any hobby standards.
