It is essentially a Schneider 90mm f/8 Super Angulon purchased by Calumet and re-branded as a "Caltar-W II". It's ideal for architectural, landscape, interior or any photography needing a wide view. Engineered for use on a 4x5 view camera, the 90mm Caltar-W II offers a 215mm image circle, allowing plenty of room for swings, tilts, rise and fall, insuring a perfect image shape every time. The front and rear elements of this used lens are perfectly clear, without blemish of defect. The lens barrel is good show a few marks from use. At some point, someone appears to have used a black marker to cover some spots on the rear element barrel. None of this affects the image quality of this superior lens. Being mounted on a Sinar DB board, this lens has no shutter. Sinar DB boards are designed for use with the Sinar Auto Aperture Shutter. That being the case, this lens is ready for action on any camera equipped with that shutter. For those cameras not so equipped, the lens can be mounted into any Copal or other standard shutter sized for the 90mm f/8 lens, or be used in long exposure mode where the lens cap becomes the shutter.
