Description: c 1880 K & G Luneville Miniature Child's Toilette Set This is a scarce K & G Luneville miniature child’s or doll’s Toilette Set transfer printed in a strong pink with scenes from nature. On one side of the pitcher is a bird of prey (owl) about to pounce on a salamander while the reverse side has a peacock in a garden with an urn on the right-hand side. Please note the bat silhouette against the moon on each side of the lip or pour area of the pitcher. The small soap dish shows a kingfisher catching a fish in the garden and the razor dish has a fancy pheasant in a garden setting. These are interesting and sophisticated transfers produced for children and are signed on the bottom and made by K & G Luneville, France, c 1880.
