Over 60 fossils listed. What is Bone Valley? Bone Valley is a geologic formation in west central Florida. More specifically, Bone Valley is described as the upper layer of the Peace River formation. Fossils from this area are well known for their unique tan-brown colors and are often very well preserved due to sediment they are encased in. Not all fossils from Bone Valley are tan-brown. I’ve found a variety of colors including pure white, black, grey, tan , brown, and some with blue hues.
