Description: Vintage pewter plate from Colombia, South America. Around the rim are lions and crowns and shields with names as follows: Columbia, Cucuta, Stamarta, Bogata, Popayan, and Cali. Under the shields are two headed serpents that surround the rim. The inscription reads, “RECUERDOS DE German Rueda BOGOTA COLOMBIA.” Measures just under 8” and, I think, is made of pewter. There are two places along the border where there is a break between a crown and a lion. A rare and highly unusual collector's plate. From a Southern Iowa estate in the same condition as it was found.
