Retractable mechanism on the mechanical pencil is functional. Pencil is completely functional. Ballpoint pen, has its genuine ink cartridge. Please NOTE that it is functional, but maybe spring needs to be restored, as pen push up and back, better when pen is oriented downwards. Frequently is oriented opposite, you will need to double press to retract the ink cartridge. When set properly, you can use the pen as should. Box has some surface wear.
