This property is posted, but the creek can be entered via the County Park along Ball Road. The creek is not open to public navigation and does not fall under the terms of the New York State Public Right of Navigation. You can get to the Arkwright Falls by following the creek upstream from where the trail on the public property ends in the creek bed. Chautauqua County is the westernmost county in the U.S. state of New York. As of the 2020 census, the population was 127,657. Its county seat is Mayville, and its largest city is Jamestown. Its name is believed to be the lone surviving remnant of the Erie language, a tongue lost in the 17th century Beaver Wars; its meaning is unknown and a subject of speculation. The county was created in 1808 and organized in 1811. This Divided Back Era postcard, mailed in 1909, is in good condition. The Weiler Publishing Company, Dunkirk, N. Y.
