Description: From the mind of Charlie Gearheart (RIP 1939-2024), very late '67, somewhere between Ritchie Hart and Goose Creek Symphony, we find The Wild Thymes creating the music you now hold...as musical tastes were expanding on every hipsters stereo. Incubated in late night hours of spec time at Audio Recorders, with engineer Tim Ramsey, with a "Let's try this" frame of mind at the mixing console, and much inspiration for the Mike Condello and Bill Spooner (Warren S. Richardson) albums that would emerge on vinyl months later, with the same loose group of musicians. A “studio creation band” that never played in local clubs. Amazingly "pop-psyche fuzz garage rock" very commercial songs, written by for the most part by Gearheart and guitarist Bob Knisley. Why this album was not released at the time is a mystery now, considering the high-quality music laid down. So stunning after all these years and now Fifty-Three years later all of us have a chance to appreciate these fuzzy desert, sun baked songs. By 1966, Hart was fronting the foux Brit Volume IV, who then became The Present Daze (Ramco 61766), who morphed into The Wild Thymes. The next year he was writing new songs for the first Goose Creek album, in a completely different direction for sure, and The Wild Thymes tapes were left to gather cosmic dust on a shelf at Audio Recorders of Arizona....... This deluxe CD contains 7 Bonus Tracks, not on the vinyl album, it's the complete Wild Thymes package, a 24 page booklet with extended liner notes by Alec Palao. Includes 4 songs by The Present Daze.
