Description: This 5.5" bisque porcelain spill vase was made in Germany. It depicts a wood nymph standing alongside a tree trunk with vine and berries. I don't believe it was ever painted overall. There is paint loss on the nymph's hair. There is some purple shading on the bottom of her gown and the berries were painted but most has worn off-could easily be retouched. The bluish cast in the photos is from the camera. Other than the paint and a possible flea bite on the rim I do not find any other defects. No chips or cracks. Spill vases were made until about 1930 by some companies but I would guess to be earlier. Please Note: I try to describe all of my items as completely and accurately as possible and provide many photos from various angles for your inspection. If you have any questions please ask before purchase as all sales are considered final. All offers will be considered.
