Description: TAYLOR SMITH TAYLOR NORMANDIE Edwardian Lady CERAMIC GREEN PLATE Antique Antique cabinet plate depicts a risqué, tousled Edwardian lass wearing only her dressing gown. Ringed by elegantly drawn trefoil shapes and bordered in gold, the scalloped, olive-toned plate is part of one of Taylor Smith Taylor’s earliest patterns , the “ Normandie” series. Normandie was in production from 1905-1911, which is also when the Griffin mark was used. The portrait is signed by what appears to be an “ E. Vitossi,” or Vetossi or Vettori although I have not been able to find any background on either the artist or the subject..This has a lot of paint loss and does have 1 small chip on the under side of this plate, and scratching across the face of the lady.
