Description: Original, antique American picture frame.Made to hold a picture or photo about 5" x 6 3/4"( see dimensions below )Solid carved oak with mitered corners.The oak wood has been stained to a dark brown finish.Includes the original glass.( old glass, with small "sliver" air bubbles )Made in the early 1900s, circa 1900-1920.Over 100 years old. The frame is as-found, with an old photograph of a baby in a wicker basket on the porch of the family home. ------ Frame Dimensions : Overall frame size : 5 1/2" x 7 9/16" Rabbet ( picture size that fits the frame ) : 5" x 6 3/4"( the 5" dimension will be tight; picture might need to be trimmed down to 4 15/16" ) Sight ( viewing area, from the front ) : about 4 9/16" x 6 1/2" The frame is about 1/2" thick ---------- Very Good Condition.Just minor surface wear.The old glass is in very good condition.The original black paper backing is still in place at the back.
