Description: Offered for sale is a beautifully restored antique Seth Thomas Prospect model clock circa 1913 that has been nicely restored inside and out and is in excellent working condition. The original classic beautiful lighter color wood cabinet has been thoroughly cleaned and polished and is in excellent overall condition with few blemishes and presents most beautifully. It has a rarely found Lamp inlaid marquetry and the finish is in excellent condition ! The original dial is in excellent original condition and has been gently cleaned and the brass bezel has been thoroughly cleaned and polished to a shiny original luster. The clock features a brass bell that chimes pleasantly on the half hour and a full traditional cathedral gong on the hour The original Seth Thomas #89C movement has been thoroughly inspected, cleaned and properly oiled. The mainsprings that power the clock have been inspected and greased and are very lively. The clock has been thoroughly tested for several weeks and has kept very good time. This is a most splendid example of a classic Seth Thomas original mantel clock that can be proudly displayed on any mantel or in any room in your home and could be passed on to future generations. this is an 8 day clock and needs to be wound weekly on both sides with the included 2 sided key with the small end for fast/slow adjustment.
