Description: ANTIQUE TRINKET BOX An antique coromandel (sometimes referred to as calamander) veneered trinket box dating to the early part of the 19th Century. The box has been upcycled & converted from a former tea caddy into a useful jewellery box with the addition of attractive green velvet.Of eye-catching traditional sarcophagus shape, the box is likely to be from the reign of George IV or William IV. Date: circa 1830. Condition: Good functional condition. The interior has been relined in new velvet. Externally the box has been re-lacquered to a high sheen level. The key is absent but the lock is in the unlocked position. The box has a few light surface marks but is generally in good order.
