Description: Antique Rousseau Art Nouveau Lamp France Premier Miroir Circa 1915 Newel Post. Unusual, rare and beautiful antique newel post or large table lamp (23 inches high x 14 inches wide) from French maker Rousseau circa 1915 titled “Premier Miroir”, depicting a woman looking into a mirror for the first time. The lamp is in good antique condition with a nice patina, but the tip of the woman’s right index finger is missing. The lamp does work as you can see in the photos, but would recommend rewiring it as the wiring is probably over 50 years old. The first 11 photos are of the lamp you will receive. It is stamped Rousseau, Premier Miroir and made in France on the base. The last 2 photos are not of the lamp I am selling, but are included for inspiration of what this lamp could look like once restored and polished as they show the same model Rousseau lamp, recently sold on an antique lighting website.
