Description: An absolutely exquisite original Rococo style porcelain lady figurine from around 1900 Made by the very famous Nymphenburg Royal Porcelain Factory in Germany (early impressed Nymphenburg shield and production numbers 9 1/2 and II from 1900 on the back side ) This superb piece is produced after the designs of Commedia dell'arte figurines of a very famous artist Franz Anton Bustelli ( 1723-1763 ) who worked for the Nymphenburg Royal Porcelain Manufactory Albert Bauml, who was the director of the factory from 1888 revived many of the Bustelli designs in the 19th and early 20th century Elegant lady with very expressive face, gazing sidewards in horror with a sumptuous dress with sprays of flowers on it and a beautiful green and mauve underskirt, bodice with mauve ribbon, superb lace décolletage and bouffant sleeves Very skilfully modelled dog, pulling on the skirt Detailing on the face and apparel is breathtaking Beautiful figurine with a touch of naughtiness Excellent condition, the top of the dog's tale is missing, little parts of the decorative ribbons on the bodice as well, I would say, but this does not detract from the beauty of this piece or represents a problem for its integrity Height 23 cm Length 15 cm
