It is made of resin in a faux mahogany finish that is stressed and carved with elaborate sewing details. The box has a separate divided tray for small items. It is imported from England. This vintage piece is in very good condition. There is a very small chip on top of the spool and some rubbing on the corners. The bottom of the top cover and bottom are covered with black felt.
