Description: A very beautiful antique patchwork quilt. Beautifully made and dated 1939. It isn’t perfect, definitely more primitive in nature with wear to some of the pieces. Surprisingly because the good areas are very very good. I should have flipped this in the other direction because the wear is technically on either side. My hunch is possibly turned under on a bed which may have caused the wear over time. Not fully certain as the remaining fabrics are again, in wonderful condition & strong. Nonetheless, it is still a wonderful old quilt which styles beautifully in primitive farmhouse settings. Some may be tempted to use this as a cutter but it certainly has it’s own charm left as is & restoration is very possible for a skilled quilter. Appears clean with just a few areas of aging which is very mild. Please view all my photos. It’s larger, measuring aprox 80” wide by 94” long. This has been in my personal collection for many years.
