He studied at the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen from 1901-1903. He was primarily a landscape painter and his paintings often have an impulsive, impressionistic feel to them. He was married to the artist Eline Hertz Jespersen. PAINTING: Oil on canvas. The painting is an impressionistic rendering of a cluster of pine trees situated at the edge of a gravel pit. The earth brown and blue colors and the style of painting is very typical for the artist. The painting is dated to 1916. Signed: “Knud Jespersen” in the lower left corner.
